About UsCentury Coaching was founded by head coach Scott Berridge, with the vision to provide young people access to high quality cricket coaching, enabling them to learn new skills, improve existing ones and to enjoy participating in cricket.
The coaches are passionate about cricket and coaching. Our aim is to help develop young players of all ages and abilities to enable them to reach their full potential in the sport. |
The Coaches
Head Coach & Founder - Scott Berridge
Scott has a prolific sporting background in teaching and coaching. He graduated with a University of Liverpool degree in Physical Education and Sports Science and gained a PGCE in Physical Education from Brunel University, London. He then worked as a secondary school PE teacher for 10 years before founding Century Coaching. He has a vast amount of cricket coaching experience and started coaching at the age of 16. In 2016, Scott received the ECB 'Coach of the Year' award for Nottinghamshire.
Scott is currently undertaking the ECB Advanced Coach (Level III) qualification and is, DBS checked, first aid qualified, safeguarding aware and member of the ECB Coaches Association.
Scott is currently head coach at West Bridgfordians CC and has had several years experience coaching in the County Age Group pathway.
Eddie Burke
Eddie Burke is currently one of the ECBs Regional Talent Managers, within the men’s pathway.
This role includes pathway solutions, coach development, parent education, delivering regional programmes at u15 and u17 and scouting for the Young Lions.
Before joining the ECB in 2013, Eddie worked for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and although left Trent Bridge as Performance Manager and EPP Head Coach, he worked across all performance environments and was also part of the coach education tutor and assessor workforce.
Keen to constantly develop himself, he has a desire to share best practice and develop others.
